Elia-sun Glasses
Elia-sun Glasses are sun glasses designed with artist, Olafur Eliason, in mind. These glasses play off of the fact that Eliasun is know for bending and manipulating light. These sunglasses and packaging are also aligned with Eliason's personal values and beliefs concerning the environment.
The challenge for this project was not only creating an item that was on brand for another artist, but then modeling it in Rhino as well. The product I developed also has environmental and mental health benefits which Eliason has expressed as issues that are important to him.

Eliason once had an art exhibit that he had to set us, shipped by train, foot, and ship, instead of plane, in order to help the environment and put less CO2 into the air. The pieces were glass, and most surprisingly, they made it in one piece.

Oddly enough, I could see Eliason using the glasses themselves, or this concept for an actual art installation involving light through the colorful lenses.
